Ahhh, some me time. My little kuya just left for football practice with hubby and the little one is still asleep. Finally found time to write this long overdue post on… what else… ME time. It’s such an elusive concept for most moms because even when you’re sitting on the toilet one of your kid runs in to talk to you. Admit it, it has happened to you many times!
Believe it or not, I like to write when I have time for myself. I do the regular primping in the parlor and spa, and indulge in some retail therapy. But blogging has always been an escape for me. Lately I’ve been dabbling in Wattpad too (shhh… it’s a secret).
It really is hard to find time for yourself to recharge with all the demands of family and work. So I was really thankful for Pine Sol for inviting me and other moms to savor our me time with yoga and a scrumptious lunch at Sofitel.
Before we started we all shared how we try to find time for ourselves. Most of the moms find driving in between errands and doing groceries therapeutic. Goes to show what a busy life a mommy leads regardless if she’s working or a SAHM.
We were welcomed by Ms. Trish De Veyra, Director of Marketing for Clorox International Phil. Inc. A busy woman herself, she understands that whatever little me time we can find is important.
Yoga relaxes me but it’s been awhile since I stretched my muscles there was a bit of grunting while we followed Ms. Joanne.
Often times us moms forget to take care of our bodies and minds because we’re so busy taking care of everybody else. Yoga helps refocus our energies back to ourselves.
After the class, we were left to freshen up to get ready for a healthy lunch prepared by Sofitel.
During lunch, Pine Sol Brand Manager, Ms. Renelle Revilla Delos Santos, shared to us how Pine Sol can be a valuable ally for moms in our household.
With five different scents we can choose from for the different rooms and areas of our home: Lavander Clean, Orange Energy, Lemon Fresh, Sparkling Wave and the Original Pine Sol.
In our home we usually just get the Lemon Fresh for all over the house but the apparently the Lavander Clean is the preferred variant for bedrooms. I think I will have to try that.
We also got tips on healthy eating thanks to the our guest nutritionist, Dr. Agnes Tumaneng, RND. She shared that the ideal daily calorie intake for women our age (mid-twenties?!!!) should be around 1500. I suddenly felt guilty eating that extra dessert! Lol!
We also learned about detoxification from Dr. Jade Cada, the Aesthetic doctor at Vietura, and how simple it is to do. Regular detoxification is important to rid the body of all impurities we eat everyday.
Before we wrapped up our lunch, lucky ladies went home with more goodies.
It was a good day to relax and chat with all these lovely ladies. Thank you Pine Sol for letting us savor our me time!
