It was, for me, an early Mother’s Day celebration last May 9. I got to spend the morning with some awesome moms sharing their #momazing moments with their children. Momazing moments are our kids’ milestones that we get to experience, those first steps, first solid meal, first day in preschool, and we feel #momazing knowing that all our sacrifices as mommies are soooooo worth it!
Scott’s® brought together fellow mommies Fleur (Mommy Fleur), Michelle Lim (My Mom Friday) and Michelle Aventajado (Momma ‘N Manila) shared their experiences as a working mom, stay-at-home-mom and mom of a child with Down syndrome.
I enjoyed listening to their stories. I super relate to Fleur, being a working mom myself. I do agree with her that sometimes it feels like there’s not enough time with our kids. But if we make each moment count and really have that quality time with them, it can lead to #momazing moments.
Lately I’ve been thinking of being a stay-at-home-mom like Michelle L. but she shared that it’s really not as easy as many mommies think. But my gosh, I’m all praises with this woman. She’s such an inspiration, even homeschooling his son and finding time to run a household. She says there are days she struggles but her tip is finding some ME time which helps her a lot.
Michelle A. brought us to happy tears when she talked a bit about her journey as a mom to a child with Down syndrome and how it became her advocacy. The strength behind her acceptance and love for her children, especially to Gellie is so evident she really touched all of us there listening to her story.
The stories were so heartfelt and real, we all could relate to one another because at the end of the day, being a mother is like a sisterhood.
Other than the sharing, Scott’s® had different activities for kids too. I brought my little boy with me and he went straight to the balloon twisting booth. Kuya made him a bow and arrow! There was also a flipbook photobooth… here’s our final product!
So cute, right?! All throughout the day, there were other activities like face painting and video message booth where kids and moms can share messages to each other.
Scott’s® Vitamin C Pastilles and Scott’s® Emulsion are great partners for moms to keep our kids healthy and strong. With our kids many activities and the unpredictable weather, keeping them free from any sickness is always a priority. Scott’s® Vitamin C Pastilles is my son’s fave. Thanks to its yummy flavor, I don’t have to force my son to take it everyday. I even have to stop him from eating it like candy!
You can’t miss Scott’s® in the grocery with it’s bright orange letters! The resealable pack makes it easier to store and keep fresh. Very handy too when traveling.
I already know being a mom is the most difficult job in the work even before I became one. But it was only when I had my first child that I understood how hard it really is. Despite that, every #momazing moment I experience For me, it’s trying to find that balance being a working mom, a mother to toddlers and a wife. The biggest struggle for me was not spending enough time with my babies, giving up those times that I had to be with them but couldn’t. Still, what little time I had with them, I made sure my focus was really on them just so I could still experience #Momazing moments with them.
