Here I am again. In bed, having my own version of bed rest. Surprise, baby number 3 is on its way and as usual I need to take a few days off my feet and just relax. Last week was so hectic with my two sons’ school activities and my birthday that I think did me in. Thank God my work now lets me bring it home. It’s a great relief too not having go through the daily traffic to Makati. I think during my first two pregnancies, the stress of the corporate world were added factors that made both a difficult pregnancy for me.
This baby was sort of planned but not really. We did think of having another one but agreed that if nothing happens this year, that was it. I was not going to get pregnant at 42. I think I’m pushing it now as it is. But I don’t know how prepared we are. We have given away many of my boys’ baby things and I think a lot of their baby clothes too. And I don’t think using a 10-year old carseat is not safe. So, we’re back to zero. Not just with things but taking care of the baby, having sleepless nights, changing diapers, and most of all, hiring a yaya!
The boys are excited, especially the bunso. He has always loved taking care of little kids and being a kuya to his cousins. I tell them to talk to my tummy so the baby will recognize their voice. One is hoping for a boy and the other a girl. Well, one of them will be disappointed!
